ABOUT THE GMO GIRLS

The GMO girls are five dedicated students finishing up the Bachelour of Arts in Professional Communication program at Royal Roads University. This video was created for a final video project where the women wanted to look at the ethical issue surrounding the lack of labeling on genetically modified foods. To do this, they consulted articles, documentaries, books, and also conducted interviews with locals to get an understanding of the current state of GMOs in Greater Victoria. The GMO girls were motivated to showcase the issue of genetically modified foods and bring awareness to the labeling issues by combining their talents and multimedia abilities to inform others.
